A beautiful tribute to such a beautiful soul x It seems like a lifetime ago when Uncle Billy, Aunty Yvonne and all the family stayed with us in London - we were all so young! Cousin Billy, chasing around Elphinstone Street (our family home), us both getting in trouble for climbing the banisters (thought we were superheroes!) and of course gathering round the piano :) I feel so blessed to have got to know you again Billy, in the later years - you inspiring (nagging?!), me to get my girl a drum kit, chatting about family memories... Family was so important to you, at the very heart of you - the bond and the love which, no matter how far away we are or how much times passes, never goes away. I will always remember your love and bravery, Love you cuz x

It is heartbreaking to hear the news of cousin Billy passing. My thoughts and prayers go to you all. I know the love and warmth he gave to my family (especially my mum Auntie Sadie). When I visited Australia I always felt uplifted around him and I believe that’s a rare and beautiful thing. It saddens me that I will not see him again and that my children will never get to meet him. Sending love from London, from all Aunt Sarah’s children and grandchildren, we love you always cousin. I remember us all living in Wood Green London when we were kids and me n billy thinking it was a good idea to make necklaces out of chewing gum.. our mums hit the roof! Spent the rest of the night scrubbing our necks! Never forget that time we spent. Billy was my best friend. Will miss him always.. so much love to you all xxx

I went to stay with Billy, Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Bill 20 years ago in Adelaide. I was a bit shy and unsure of myself and was an aspiring musician and songwriter. Billy really took me under his wing and made me feel at home whilst there. We just clicked immediately and we had some great times together and amazing chats. I’ll always remember when I was with him at one of his gigs with Raised on Radio. He was playing in some club/ bar and I was completely in awe of the guy and a wee bit jealous. Billy gave me a wink and a smile whilst drumming away and he was officially the coolest man alive in my books! He really showed me kindness and friendship at a pivotal point in my life and I’ll be forever grateful. None of this feels real at the moment, but you will be with me forever mate. My thoughts are with all of you over in oz and I send my heartfelt condolences and love at this difficult time. God bless xx

I only found out this sad news last night Billy, I would have liked to of been there today :( I am still in so much shock. We only spoke less thann three weeks ago :(. OUR time was coming …. After all these years of bad timing ours was yet to come :(. My heart has shattered. To only hear your voice one last time and to see those eyes light up when you smiled at me…. Your family and your children are going to forever miss you as am I . This won’t be goodbye Billy I will see you again someday soon. Until then my heart is full of our memories together. I will miss you and your beautiful soul.
