I first met Don in 1973 as a kid when i joined Mordialloc Lapidary Club and we became friends straight away. Don was always bubbly and enthusiastic and this positive energy rubbed off on those around him. During the last years Don would help me at lapidary exhibitions as he loved interacting with people especially those who shared this interest. We would travel to Tasmania for an exhibition, visit Horart Lapiday Club and then tour around and have a great time. The attached photo was taken at Mt Field national park in 2018. On this trip we went to a wildlife park and i vividly remember Don waving his finger whilst giving a naughty Kangaroo a stern talking to after it took his entire bag of food. He was a great friend and a great contributor to the all of his passions. He is already missed by my family.

Mum, you have had an incredible influence on my, Tom's and the grandkids lives and we are all going to miss you terribly. Olivia and Jessie think the world of their Nanna and are going to miss all the fun activities you did with them. You were the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for and you will remain in our hearts forever. Love Margaret. xox
