For my beautiful friend Irene
I never thought that I would need to write this tribute to you so early in our lives. We shared so many stages of life throughout our 60 year friendship. We went to school together, were married one month apart, had babies 4 days apart and saw our teenage children grow to become adults.
We shared so many thoughts and were soulmates for each other. You were taken far too early and our hopes of growing old together were dashed.
I know that God only picks the very best for himself and you surely are the best. Rest in peace my beautiful friend

I miss you already so dearly. You were loved and appreciated by many of us, for your infinite love and kindness. Even though we barely saw eachother, we would talk through the phone from Dad, and every time we spoke you were always so happy and you always had an adorable smile on your face. I hope you are resting in paradise Aunty Irene, I miss you so much.

It's so very sad to hear of your passing.
You had one of the biggest hearts a person could have.
Always welcoming and caring and like a second mother to me.
Always ready to offer home made biscuits or baked pasta when ever you set a foot inside the front door.

Irene was a very dear friend and a sister to me. We lived across the street from each other since I was young. I would mind Mary when Irene would take Leon to school. I will dearly miss her phone calls and seeing her beautiful smiley face. We laughed together and we cried together. You will forever be in our hearts.
