For my beautiful friend Irene I never thought that I would need to write this tribute to you so early in our lives. We shared so many stages of life throughout our 60 year friendship. We went to school together, were married one month apart, had babies 4 days apart and saw our teenage children grow to become adults. We shared so many thoughts and were soulmates for each other. You were taken far too early and our hopes of growing old together were dashed. I know that God only picks the very best for himself and you surely are the best.
