My dear Uncle Gary, words cannot express how much I will miss you. I have such great memories growing up with you. You always made me laugh. You were a pillar of strength for me when Dad passed away. You took me under your wing and looked after me. I will be forever grateful for that. You will always be in my thoughts and I love you dearly. Here is a beautiful shot of you enjoying a cigar at my wedding. Rest in peace. Naomi xxx

I was so looking forward to you teaching me one song to play at my friends 60th in February. You said I was tone deaf but were exploring songs to match my inability to sing in tune….that’s dedication!
I’ll miss your stories & watching bands at the Union, your impromptu gigs & catching up.
You were my first friend at Anglicare and introduced me to some amazing people.
My life was so much better for having you in it. We miss you Gaz. Alicia & Bryn

Gary, we met in the late '90's working with some of the most vulnerable and damaged young people in Melbourne, and you were always a reassuring, calm and solid presence for the kids, but also for your co-workers. More than this, you were a generous friend through good times and hard times. I loved sharing music with you, playing it, singing with you, and hearing you play guitar and sing. You will always be dear to those of us who worked with you at Anglicare and hope you know how much we loved you.

Gaz, you lit up the room with your positive energy and your infectious sense of humor. You had genuine interest and care for the people around you and the young people to whom you devoted your life. Rest in Peace brother.

Hard to believe we’ll never hear your magical voice singing to us again. I have such fond memories of us all crowding into Bellino’s on cold Friday nights for pizza and wine and music. You were always friendly and up for a chat, and you’d sing that Radiohead song so beautifully that I’ll always remember you when I hear it. Rest easy big fella. X Fi

Gary,
Our Anglicare catch ups will never be the same without you !
The songs, the guitar, the laughs and the fun times we had will forever be cherished memories. Heartfelt condolences to Gary's family

Leaving this small tribute on the day you would have caught up to me, by turning 68. Still coming to terms with what has happened, wondering why your various ups and downs could not have ended years from now, with you on an up. Cricket mates such as me will never forget your strengths, and we will overlook your weaknesses. Like your batting! Wherever you have gone, keep coaching the kids. "Keep your front arm up!" Macca.

Gary
We knew each other since 1975 at college. You were a loveable larrikin and could always make me laugh. We lost touch for a number of years but then reconnected through music. You threw your heart into the old tunes and we had so many laughs sharing songs and working on harmonies to Neil, Joni. Leonard and we even dabbled into some modern stuff.
I loved to hear you sing Reckless
Never got tired of that old classic and you slipping into that high voice. Rest my good buddy!xx Lozza
