Our dearest Auntie Dulcie,
May you rest in peace. Dulcie, you have shared your life and family with ours since early days of life in Deer Park. Precious memories of church dances and courting days, marriages and families forming. To mum and dad (Del and Keith), you were beasties with many a night playing cards and sharing your wonderful heart shaped cream sponges. Family holidays together were numerous and always eventful with lots of practical jokes being played amongst the adults. Your infectious giggle is still fresh in my memory as well as the funny times we later shared on the tennis court, as you would bend down at the net as I served and I would say "don't bother Dulce, you're too short for it to be a problem anyway!). You were a dynamo around the court and a force to be reckoned with.
When our families came along, you loved them all as your own.
Thank you for the lifetime of friendship, joy and love you have always shared with us. We have rich memories going forward.
Rest in peace,
With much love Julie, Peter and family. XX

Deepest condolences to Barry, Neville and Lynne and families on the loss of your mother. Dulcie was a wonderful and generous friend to my mum and our family. We enjoyed our happy times together at Ballarat Road or Christie Street so many years ago now but almost like yesterday too! She will be sorely missed but is now reunited with Alex. Love and deepest sympathy. Peter Ebeling

A fond farewell to beautiful Dulcie. You loved your family so very much, relentlessly providing Alex and your children with all they needed and more, bravely accepting the challenges of your father’s final years, aware of and so very proud to share every detail your grandchildren lived and maintaining friendships with love and laughter. Gosh you provided a safe space for being vulnerable and standard for being kind and loving we all learned from. Love to all, always. Susie

If you have been around Collegians FC long enough you will fondly remember the Chief Alec Obrien and his lovely wife Dulcie. The Chief passed away a few years ago and sad to report Dulcie left us last week. Both such beautiful people. Their love story remarkable. Married for well over 70 years, she was the girl across the road from Chiefs parents place on Ballarat Rd, they built a house next door and never left. Totally devoted to each other, and family meant everything to them. Dulcie loved the visits from a few of us over the journey and it breaks my heart (and I know a few others) that I didn’t get to see her recently. Very sad but reunited with The Chief. Rest in Peace Dulcie, what a woman. We love you 💕💕

May you rest in everlasting peace. Whilst those here on this plane will always have you in their hearts and minds, we all rest better knowing you are in the hands of loved ones past. Thank you for being a good friend and a wonderful matriarch to such a loving family. You will be sadly missed.
