The reason we are told to live our life to the fullest is because you have no idea when your gone. I worked alongside this beautiful woman at the City of Whittlesea for many years. So many coffees and chats . Sharing our stories about our families and friends but mainly about our many cultural groups we supported as sometimes it could be very challenging. So many words to describe this champion of cultural tradition and wanting to leave a legacy of her own story. Dani your time made a difference to so many people. Thankyou for being my team mate for so long. My condolences to all the family she so loved every one of you.

Daniela you provided me a second home during my teenage years where I felt very much a part of your family. In being such a wonderful mother you have guided your children to be 5 amazing people. I am so fortunate to have benefited from your parenting because the values instilled in your children lead me to Jane which is a lifelong friendship as special as any family.
Rest in peace.

Thinking of you all at this very hard time. We're so sorry to hear what happened to your Mum. Daniela was always so lovely to us, welcoming and caring. She will always hold a special place in our hearts ❤️ I will forever remember when for parents welcomed us for dinner into me into your family home in Woodstock. It was the first time I had met them; your dad was preparing BBQ outside, while your mun showed me the individual portraits of you all on the wall and her beloved procelling dolls and making sure I try her Pizzelle. She was an extraordinary woman with whom I admired and respected dearly (from Tam).

As you know, loosing a parent is difficult; more so when it is unexpected and sudden. May you all find strength and solace in sharing and remembering the wonderful and joyful memories you shared all together.

Words cannot describe the sorrow I feel on the sudden passing of my dear friend Daniela.

She was such an inspiration to me and those that knew her. So gifted in her craft making, her studies and of course her love for the Italian language. The beautiful book she wrote as a legacy for her children and grandchildren, ‘I Ricordo di Mia Madre’, will be forever treasured by Kat, Jane, Ben, Adam, Luke and grandchildren.

I will miss our phone chats, our catch ups, watching live shows together. I loved hearing about her next planned adventure and the beach walks we were planning to do together, but most of all I will miss her beautiful smiley face.

Fly high my adventurous friend Daniela 🌹
Love always Rosa Ferrante

In sharing the shock and sadness on the passing of Daniela, I extend my deepest sympathies to all her family and friends.

As a colleague at the City of Whittlesea over a number of years I benefitted daily from Daniela's hallmark smile and her warm, caring and dedicated nature. A lady so proud of her heritage and family, Danie had many talents which she shared generously (including her baking - yum!).

I am the richer for having known you Daniela.
May you live forever in our hearts and memories.

Bella Daniela..

We were friends for a short time but what a priviledge.

We just clicked and you were like a caring older sister, who'd call and we'd chat about this and that, you offering me support, and me checking in on you during the lockdown.

Recently, you wished me a safe voyage on my o/s trip and asked me to call you on my return. But you've gone ahead...

I'm so very sad to hear the news of your passing.

My sincere condolences to your loved ones.

Ciao Bella Daniela 💞 x

You loved your family unconditionally and were so proud of all of their achievements as they were of yours. Your memory will live on forever. We are extremely fortunate and better people for knowing you. We have no doubt that Con would have welcomed you with open arms and you are both now walking the streets of heaven. Until we meet again. RIP Daniela xxx

Sending love, courage and deepest condolences to Daniela’s beautiful family whom she spoke about with such love and devotion.
I worked at the City of Whittlesea with your beautiful mother for many years and I was humbled to know her and spend time with her on several occasions. Daniela had genuine compassion, empathy, patience and time for everyone.
I could listen to her speak Italian for hours, it was beautiful and I learnt heaps from her.
The book she wrote about her mother’s experiences in Australia was heart warming as it reminded me of parents and their experiences immigrating from Italy
Daniela did so much for our community. This is a huge loss for all of us and my heart goes out to her family. 😘❤️🌹🪻🌸🌺🌻🌹🪻🌸🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Dear Kat, Jane, Ben, Adam and Luke,
My sincere condolences for the passing away of your beautiful strong adventurous loving mum Daniela.
Daniela loved all things Italian…cooking. music, dancing, and of course the Italian language which we often spoke together.
She was a talented writer who wrote biographies capturing with vigour and compassion the life of her mother and others.
Daniels quickly befriended those in her new community of Avondale Heights and was always interested in our stories.
In a short time we became best buddies. I will miss you Daniel.
May you rest in peace in God’s loving hands.

Carmel Giandinoto on 3 April, 2024 at 9:06pm

To my beautiful friend Danie

We’ve been great friends for 50 years, sharing lots of wonderful memories with our husbands John & Con, and our beautiful children. We’ve enjoyed many parties, BBQ’s and picnics together.
We both lost our husbands who were best friends and we continued our beautiful friendship supporting each other and creating our own adventures on the weekends. I would’ve never imagined I’d lose you so suddenly, I’m still in shock.
I’ve lost you my best friend Danie and Con, along with my husband and I never got the chance to say goodbye to any of you. This has been so hard to comprehend, I pray that you are all reunited and can take care of each other.
May our children, along with their partners and our grandchildren continue this friendship for years to come. I promise to always be there for your sweet children; Katrina, Jane, Ben, Adam & Luke. I love them all like they’re my own.
Until we meet again may God bless your beautiful soul my best friend. I will always remember the special times we shared together and you’ll be forever in my heart.

Love always
Carmel

My sincere condolences to you all. Your Mum, Daniela, was a warm, caring, lovely woman. She loved Con and her family deeply and was generous in supporting your journeys through school and beyond. Daniela was regularly in classrooms helping. On one occasion, I remember her making the plaited dough for the Easter cake and placing eggs in the gaps. She returned after it was cooked to share with the class. The Easter tradition meant a lot to her. Rest in peace Daniela, you lived a very worthy life. God bless your family. 🙏🙏♥️

Daniela was a beautiful soul, always caring and inclusive.
We first met when our children, who attended St. Mary’s in Whittlesea, became friends.

One of the great memories I have of Daniela is the special interest she took in my singing and the wonderful help she gave me, translating Schubert’s Ave Maria into Italian for me and teaching me the correct pronunciation of the words.

Katrina, Jane, Ben, Adam and Luke, your mother’s love will live in your hearts forever. RIP Daniela

Mary Marcuccio on 2 April, 2024 at 11:59am

To Kat, Jane, Ben, Adam and Luke and Daniela's sisters I and my daughter Ester extend our heartfelt condolences to you. I hold a treasure of memories of Daniela in my heart from the time 4 of her 5 children attended St John's Primary School Thomastown East. Daniela was involved with a passion in the education of her children and assisted the St John's community with genuine interest and nothing was too difficult to achieve. She was a model wife and mother and had the characteristics of womanhood and pride in everything she did and accomplished. I am deeply sorry that on that Saturday we didn't finally speak and make arrangements to meet and enjoy a catch up over coffee; something we had wanted to do for so long but were caught up in our busy lives. I am truly sorry that I didn't hear her voice and that laughter of joy and the eyes that lit up when she spoke of her children and grandchildren. May all the family take a leaf out of her book of life and treasure those memories she leaves with you. I have her book "I Ricordi di Mia Madre" and I have your book too Kat. May Daniela live forever in your memory as she will in mine. A beautiful woman gone to reunite with her husband ( who she missed so much) and family members. May Daniela Rest in Peace.
The Pastorelle Sisters in Bundoora send their condolences to the family.
