On behalf of all my family in Malta; Felicia's sons and daughters, may we offer our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on the passing of our dear Auntie Carmena. She is now reunited with her brothers Saviour and Joseph, and sisters Felicia and Nicolina whom she adored so much. I will always cherish the beautiful memories of Auntie Carmena's visit to Malta. I was quite young back then but I still remember as clear as crystal, how immensely happy she was to visit her hometown and actually venture through her childhood home in Sannat. My nanna Felicia would also recount endless stories about her childhood spent with her siblings during the trying times of World War 2 and how nature and prayer offered them all the protection and solace they needed. A simple yet notable life of a family with such strong values and immense kindness and altruism! I was indeed lucky enough to catch up with Auntie Carmena once again on my trip to Melbourne in 2016. Her eyes were sparkling as she recounted stories of times spent with my late nanna Felicia. May the Lord give you courage and strength to move forth, cherishing the fondest memories of your beloved Carmena. We will be watching the funeral service and we will be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
