This has to be sung to the tune of "Donald Where's yer
Troosers"
Well I came all the way from W.A.
Aunt Isabel' s hoose
is where I'll stay
To be by her side everyday
and help to make her
a wee bit happy.
So many stories told
over the last 6 weeks.
Sad and happy tears
have run doon oor cheeks.
And in the wee hours
her bed room reeks
fae drinking wee
whiskeys toddies..
If the bell rings in the middle of the night,
We all wake up
with a helluva fright,
Off to Aunt Isabel's room
we all run.
Uncle William
"Where's Yer Troosers.??? "
At the end of the day
off to bed I go.
Then the bell rings and
I think "Oh NO"...
Doon the stairs
ma wee legs run
but Aunt Isabel's just having
a wee bit of fun,
Saying "Lorna Where's My Whiskey" ?????
So its off to the kitchen
I must go.
To line all the cups
up in a row,
I pour the whiskey
nice and slow.
HOT WHISKEY TODDIES
for the Allison Alkies.
Now this wee Rhyme is just a wee bit of fun to remind us of how even although Aunt Isabel was going through a huge battle, she still , was able to share lots of stories, play tricks on us, have a wee dram and have tears of laughter running down her cheeks. These are the memories I will treasure forever of these precious last weeks spent with you my Beautiful Amazing Wee Aunt Isabel, together with Uncle William, Lisa, Bailey Maddison, Jasmine, James Margaret , Ace and all oor Allison Clan.
Love Lorna ♥️
