Pappa Bear, you would've been wrapped with your wonderful send-off!

- You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

If I could write a story,
It would be the most epic Aussie adventure ever told,

I’d write about the virtues,
The lessons in right from wrong
About our family values
How to be strong.

The things in life we can not change,
To face our fears head on
To carry ourselves with pride,
Hold our heads up high
To never run and hide

To our dad, that will be missed,
Never again will you be kissed,
By wife, daughters and sons,
Family, friends
Just about anyone.

He was our hero
Mentor, our reason and right
He always told us
There are better ways
Than to fight.

By the smoke and the smell
You can clearly tell,
That it’s dads favourite time again

When the steaks are burning to a crisp,
The snags are well and truly done,
And lunch is gonna be a surprise

We will all just sit back and wait,
For that world famous bonfire ballad
“When smoke gets in your eyes
La, de, da, de, da”!

So, when you find yourself reflecting,
As so many of us do,
Please come and find us,
And share your stories,
At the world’s greatest, most epic
Aussie BBQ.

If I could write a story,
It would be the most epic Aussie adventure ever told
Because it would be about our dad…..

For he had the biggest heart of gold.

❤️

Dear Mr Kirby
What an amazing, warm and heartfelt man you were. You ran our football club like a well oiled machine. Treating all the girls like they were your daughters. We were so lucky to have you keeping us all line. Rest easy
Love Nat, Tash, Macey and Ollie

Mr herby(Kirby)
What can I say, you made some of my best years of football even better because you were around. You made everyone feel special to be helping the football club, from every player to every volunteer.

I'll never forget how you made us feel, thank you and you will be very missed.

Cheers mate🍺

Steve was simply the kindest most decent man you could ever wish to meet. We’ve just had 20+ years of living next to the best neighbour imaginable. 100% down to earth bloke who loved his family and would do anything to help others. Celebrating the life of a great person, someone so special he will never be forgotten

When you move into a new home you dream of having perfect neighbours. With Steve we also got a perfect friend. He was always happy to help whether it was a hole in the roof or difficulties parking. Street Christmas parties were always looked forward to and we are sure Steve came with the same eski year after year. We treasured our time with Steve and he will be sadly missed. Deepest condolences to Julie and the kids.

A man of wisdom and love. A man who went above and beyond for all those along his path.

Your heart was always on your sleeve and your sense of humour was incredible! Your no bullshit way of thinking was admirable and your kindness was like none!

A proud man who’d gloat whenever he had the chance about his beautiful wife, his Son and daughters and of coarse all those gorgeous grandchildren! Every time he spoke over the several years I had the great pleasure of knowing him there was always a story of one of his loved family members as well as a life lesson of coarse!

Sending the Kirby family so much love and light. Steve was one incredible human xox
